Choosing a new boiler starts with the house and its hot water use, not simply the size of the old appliance. During the survey we assess the existing system, demand and any upgrades. Tell us how many outlets are used together, whether there is a cylinder and whether a renovation will add a bathroom. The right recommendation considers the water supply and heating requirements alongside the available installation space.
A combi provides hot water on demand and can remove the need for stored hot water where the supply and household demand suit it. A system or regular arrangement keeps a cylinder in the discussion when stored hot water is useful. In an off-gas home, an oil boiler is a different installation route with its own fuel supply considerations. We install all makes, with Vaillant our preferred manufacturer. Controls, flue route, system condition and any radiator or pipework changes belong in the decision as well. After a free site visit, the written quote sets out the proposed appliance and work, so you can compare the complete installation rather than only the boiler model.
A like-for-like combi swap is usually completed in a single day. A full system upgrade or conversion (e.g. regular to combi) typically takes 2–3 days. We give you a clear timeline in your written quote.
