Vaillant Boiler Installation by an Approved Vaillant Installer

Vaillant is Graham's preferred manufacturer, and as an approved Vaillant Advanced Installer we fit Vaillant combi, system and regular boilers matched to the way your home uses heat and hot water. We survey first, choose the boiler type and size from your hot water demand and water supply, and register the boiler with Vaillant on commissioning so your extended manufacturer warranty is in place.

Why we prefer Vaillant

We fit all makes, but Vaillant is the brand Graham chooses when the decision is ours. Using one main manufacturer means we know the range well: how each model is set up, which controls pair with it and how it behaves over years of servicing. That familiarity makes installation tidier and fault-finding quicker later on.

Approved Vaillant Advanced Installer status means we can offer extended manufacturer warranties on Vaillant boilers. The terms depend on the model, and we explain them with your quote. Our boiler warranty guide explains how manufacturer warranties work and what keeps them valid.

Choosing the right Vaillant boiler

Vaillant makes boilers for each type of system. Which one suits you depends on the house rather than the brand:

  • Combi: hot water on demand with no cylinder, suited to one main bathroom and a good mains flow
  • System: works with an unvented or vented cylinder, suited to homes with more than one bathroom
  • Regular: for older open-vented systems with loft tanks, where keeping the existing layout makes sense

What happens on a Vaillant installation

On the survey we look at the existing boiler, the flue route, the gas supply and pipework, hot water demand and the condition of the heating system. We then give you a written quote naming the model and controls. On installation day we protect the area, remove the old boiler, clean the system so debris does not damage the new heat exchanger, fit a filter, install the boiler and controls, and commission it.

Before we leave we show you how to use the controls, explain the pressure gauge and register the warranty. If you are still comparing makes, our guide to choosing a boiler brand covers the main points to weigh up, and our combi boiler installation page goes into more detail on combis specifically.

Controls, filters and system water

A new boiler on an old, dirty system will not perform as it should, and debris can shorten the life of the heat exchanger. That is why we clean the existing system and fit a magnetic filter as part of the installation, then dose the water with inhibitor to slow future corrosion.

Vaillant makes its own range of controls, from simple programmable thermostats to smart controls you can adjust from a phone. Matching the controls to the boiler lets it adjust its output to the weather and the house, rather than switching fully on and off, which is gentler on the boiler and more comfortable to live with. We talk through the options on the survey and set them up before handover.

Looking after it afterwards

Manufacturer warranties generally depend on the boiler being serviced every year. We can service your Vaillant boiler and keep a record of each visit, so the warranty stays valid. See our Vaillant boiler service and repair page for what that covers.

We cover Kelso, the Scottish Borders and East Lothian.

Vaillant Boiler Installation questions

What is a Vaillant Advanced Installer?

It is an installer status Vaillant gives to approved installers. As an approved Vaillant Advanced Installer we can offer extended manufacturer warranties on Vaillant boilers, with terms depending on the model.

Which Vaillant boiler suits my home?

It depends on your hot water demand, number of bathrooms and water supply. A combi suits smaller homes with one main bathroom; a system or regular boiler with a cylinder suits larger demand. We recommend a model after the survey.

Do you install other makes too?

Yes. We fit all makes. Vaillant is our preferred manufacturer, but we are happy to install another brand if you prefer it.

Will you register the Vaillant warranty?

Yes. We register the boiler with Vaillant when we commission it, so the warranty is in place from day one.
